Director David Fox Contributes to BCO Research

Director David Fox is working with the British Council for Offices (BCO) to revise their industry standard ‘Guide to Fit Out’ document. This comprehensive guide provides a background briefing on the requirements for a successful fit-out project.
David is contributing in the research and development of the revised edition due to be released later this year.
In addition to the ‘Guide to Fit Out’ publication, David is also researching data for the BCO ‘Guide to Specification’, specifically small power loads.
Previous research has shown a difference between actual small power loads observed in occupied buildings and those assumed for design. Design figures tend to overestimate loads, failing to fully account for the diversity of use.
David is monitoring the building services in occupation that we have designed, to capture their load measurements.
